About Legradi Dental:
Legradi Dental (located at Pell City Dental) is a patient-centered private practice committed to providing high quality dental care in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. We take pride in our team's dedication to patient education, comfort, and ongoing professional development. We are looking for a personable, detail-oriented Dental Receptionist to join our front office team.
Position Overview:
As one of our Dental Receptionists, you will be the primary point of contact for patients, responsible for delivering excellent customer service and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. You will coordinate appointment scheduling, manage patient records, handle payments, and support clinical staff with administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Patient Reception & Communication Greet patients upon arrival, check them in, collect payments, and answer any questions. Handle incoming phone calls, emails, and text messages; provide helpful information and refer complex inquiries to appropriate staff. 2. Scheduling & Calendar Management Schedule appointments accurately and efficiently to maximize the hygienist's schedules while respecting patient preferences. Manage cancellations, reschedule requests, and appointment confirmations. Collaborate with clinical staff to coordinate procedures requiring multiple appointments. 3. Billing & Insurance Coordination Collect and process payments, co-pays, and balances. Verify insurance benefits, obtain pre-authorizations as needed, and file insurance claims. Track outstanding balances and follow up with patients on payment plans or questions. 4. Patient Records & Data Entry Maintain and update digital patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality (HIPAA compliance). Gather and organize patient documentation such as new patient forms and medical histories. 5. Office Administrative Support Maintain office supplies and inventory for the front desk. Assist with monthly and quarterly reports as requested. Support the clinical team with administrative tasks, including patient reminders and recall appointments.
Qualifications & Skills:
1. Required Experience working in a dental office setting. High school diploma or equivalent. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Proficiency in basic computer applications. 2. Preferred Criteria Prior experience in a dental or healthcare setting. Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and insurance processes. Experience with Open Dental software
Hourly Pay & Benefits:
Hourly Rate:
$18-20 per hour (commensurate with experience). Paid time off (vacation and sick leave). Paid holidays. Employee dental benefits and employer funded group life insurance policy Quarterly staff bonus
