Must have medical office experience Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Biller/Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing medical billing processes, ensuring accurate coding, and facilitating effective communication with insurance companies and patients. This role requires a solid understanding of medical coding systems, billing procedures, and medical records management to support the financial health of our practice and provide excellent customer service to patients. Responsibilities Prepare and submit accurate medical claims using
DRG, CPT
coding, ICD-9, ICD-10, and ICD coding standards Review and verify medical records for completeness and accuracy before billing Follow up on unpaid or denied claims through medical collections processes Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance policies, regulations, and coding updates Communicate effectively with insurance companies regarding claim status and discrepancies Assist patients with billing inquiries and explain billing procedures clearly Manage electronic health record (EHR) systems and EMR systems for data entry and record keeping Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and confidentiality standards Reconcile accounts receivable and generate reports on billing activities Skills Experience with medical office operations and familiarity with EMR/EHR systems Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to interpret medical records accurately for coding purposes Effective communication skills for interacting with insurance providers, patients, and team members Knowledge of medical records management and medical coding standards Ability to work independently while maintaining a team-oriented approach This position offers an opportunity to contribute significantly to healthcare operations while utilizing your expertise in medical billing. Hours:
8:30a-5pm (30min lunch) •will drug test and background check• Benefits available after 90days - health, dental, vision, 401k #LR1
Pay:
$17.00 - $18.00 per hour
