Phone Operator and Appointment Scheduler Santo Nino Health Center Burbank, CA Job Details Full-time $21 - $23 an hour 3 hours ago Benefits Paid time off Retirement plan Qualifications High school diploma or GED Full Job Description SUMMARY Santo Nino Health Center is highly seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Phone Operator / Appointment Scheduler to join our team. In this full-time role, you will handle a high volume of inbound calls, assist patients with scheduling, and provide excellent customer service. You'll play a key role in creating a positive patient experience and ensuring smooth daily operations. Medical Assistants highly preferred. Monday through Friday with the hours of 8:00AM to 5:00PM with a one-hour lunch
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Answer incoming calls in a professional and courteous manner Schedule, confirm, reschedule, and cancel patient appointments Assist patients with questions about services and appointment availability Verify and update patient information, including insurance and contact details Route calls and messages to appropriate staff or departments Document all interactions accurately in the system Handle patient concerns with empathy and escalate when needed Maintain confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations Performs other duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS
Call center, receptionist, or scheduling experience preferred Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Basic computer and data entry skills (EHR/EMR experience a plus) Detail-oriented, reliable, and patient-focused Bilingual in Spanish strongly desired
EDUCATION
High school diploma or equivalent required Medical Assistant certification
