Job Description
Usborne Family Medicine, Inc. is looking for a full-time LEAD Medical Receptionist to join our team in Covina, CA. We have an upcoming opening for an enthusiastic medical receptionist who has at least 3 years experience as a medical receptionist. Leadership in this area is a plus! Responsibilities will include keeping in excellent communication with the office administrator to ensure a smooth-running clinic. Busy phones, greeting and checking in patients, assigning appropriate insurance, collecting copays/balances on accounts, assistance with collaboration of fellow co-workers & liaison when handling patient complaints. Some time away from front desk also intertwines with this job in the form of other administrative tasks. Must possess excellent communication skills and have a thorough understanding of the following: Medical Insurances & Benefits - Private & non-private How to display only excellent customer service and clear communication with patients, co-workers, and management Multi-tasking and paying close attention to details Computer Literacy especially in EHR system(s) Dealings with pharmacies, home health companies, labs and other ancillary care companies. Work well under pressure College degree highly preferred Ideal candidate will have great analytic skills, an extremely professional demeanor, typing speed of 45+ wpm, ability to work great under pressure, and a love of helping patients. Excellent communication skills is a must. Must speak frequently with management and providers alike. Please be willing to undergo a background check be in possession of positive previous job references. Prefer ambitious individuals who are seeking room for advancement and development of skills.
