HR Days Hours:
7:00am-7:30pm The Monitor Tech accurately transcribes and processes all patient care orders to completion. Acts as the communication hub for the department. Performs departmental record keeping. Demonstrates knowledge of medical terminology. Orders, stocks and organizes office and unit supplies. Maintains an accurate census and communicates this to all appropriate department in a timely and effective manner. Accurately and completely interprets cardiac rhythm strips and verifies appropriate and safe settings of alarms in collaboration with the nursing staff. Notifies RN of any changes in the patient's rhythm strip within a timely manner. Accounts for the telemetry units on a shift by shift basis and will report any discrepancy. Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Successful completion of a Basic EKG Course 2. Successful completion of Medical Terminology Course or equivalent 3. Prior experience as a Unit Secretary preferred 4.
