Job Description
Job description: We are seeking a skilled and patient-focused Medical Front Office to join our busy Allergy & Immunology practice. The ideal candidate will bring strong front desk experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while providing concierge-level service to our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
Answer high-volume phone lines in a courteous, professional, and compassionate manner Accurately take and relay messages to physicians and clinical staff Schedule patient appointments, including new consultations, follow-ups, and allergy testing visits Collect and update patient demographic and insurance information Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and referrals, including Medicare, HMO, and PPO plans Collect co-pays, deductibles, and outstanding balances at check-in/check-out Greet patients warmly and provide a concierge-style customer service experience Maintain efficient patient flow and organization of the front office Fax, scan, and manage medical records, referrals, and test results Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA and patient confidentiality standards Coordinate with clinical staff to support smooth daily operationsQualifications:
Minimum of 2+ years of front office experience in a medical practice (Allergy & Immunology experience a plus) Experience with EMR systems preferred Strong understanding of insurance verification and referral processes Excellent multitasking, organizational, and time management skills Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative teamPreferred Skills:
Familiarity with allergy testing scheduling and biologic therapy coordination Knowledge of medical terminology related to allergy and immunology Ability to manage a high-volume patient environment with professionalism and efficiencyWork Environment:
