Description Job Overview:
The High-Rise Flex Community Support Associate is a flexible, part-time role providing Front Desk and Valet coverage at high-rise residential communities. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, providing exceptional service, and working in different community environments while building experience across multiple areas of operations. This is a variable-schedule position with no guaranteed minimum hours or regularly scheduled shifts. Shifts may include weekdays, weekends, evenings, overnights, and holidays based on coverage needs. Associates may accept or decline offered shifts based on their availability and are expected to reliably report for shifts they accept.
Compensation:
$20-22/hr FirstService Residential will compensate the successful candidate in accordance with the posted range. The salary or wage paid to the successful candidate will be commensurate with experience, education, and specific job responsibilities. For positions designated at a client's property, the salary or wage will also be premised upon the client's directive. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
Your Responsibilities:
The duties below are representative of the responsibilities of this position and may vary based on the assigned community and coverage needs. Front Desk / Concierge Coverage Provide a welcoming, professional, and service-oriented experience for residents, guests, vendors, and visitors. Assist residents and guests with requests, questions, and general community information. Monitor building access and follow established visitor, vendor, and access-control procedures. Assist with package and delivery procedures, including receiving, tracking, and releasing packages as applicable. Maintain accurate logs, incident documentation, and shift reports. Follow established emergency, safety, security, and communication procedures. Respond to resident concerns professionally and escalate issues to management when appropriate. Complete a shift handoff and communicate relevant updates to the appropriate team member or manager. Valet Coverage Provide courteous, efficient, and professional valet service to residents and guests. Safely park, retrieve, and stage vehicles in accordance with established procedures. Maintain organization, security, and accountability for vehicle keys. Follow established parking garage, vehicle, access, and safety procedures. Promptly report vehicle incidents, damage, safety concerns, or unusual conditions in accordance with established procedures. Maintain a professional and service-oriented presence in the valet and arrival areas. Complete a shift handoff and communicate relevant updates to the appropriate team member or manager.
Skills & Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Strong customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills with a professional and service-oriented approach. Ability and willingness to perform both Front Desk and Valet responsibilities and follow established procedures and service standards. Dependable and able to reliably report for shifts once accepted. Ability to work independently, exercise good judgment, and recognize when management assistance or escalation is appropriate. Ability to accept assignments at multiple community locations. Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving eligibility required due to valet responsibilities. Must meet and maintain applicable company driving requirements throughout employment.
Education & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience in residential property operations, hospitality, concierge, valet, or a related customer-service environment preferred.
Physical Requirements and Working Environment:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Ability to remain in a stationary position and/or stand and walk for extended periods, depending on the assignment. Ability to frequently enter and exit vehicles of various sizes while performing valet duties. Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and perform repetitive movements as needed to complete Front Desk and Valet responsibilities. Ability to lift, carry, and move packages, resident items, and other materials associated with Front Desk operations. Ability to safely operate resident and guest vehicles when assigned to Valet coverage. Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments and tolerate varying weather conditions while performing Valet duties. Ability to communicate effectively with residents, guests, vendors, and team members and respond appropriately to operational and emergency situations. Scheduling & Hours This is a part-time, variable-schedule position. There are no guaranteed minimum hours or regularly scheduled shifts. Shifts may be offered based on operational coverage needs, including call-outs, vacations, leaves of absence, vacancies, special events, or other staffing needs. Associates may accept or decline offered shifts based on their availability without penalty. Associates are not required to remain available or on standby between accepted shifts. Once a shift is accepted, the associate is expected to report as scheduled and comply with applicable attendance and call-out procedures. The amount and frequency of available work will vary based on business needs.
Tools & Equipment Used:
General office equipment, computers, phones, building access systems, communication devices, valet equipment/key-control systems, and other equipment associated with Front Desk and Valet operations.
Travel:
Local travel may be required to support accepted assignments at various community locations within the designated service area. Business-related travel and eligible expenses will be compensated or reimbursed in accordance with applicable law and company policy.
