Medical Biller/Receptionist

Job Summary Small ophthalmology practice that needs help collecting outstanding bills by calling, printing and mailing and texting patients weekly. Due to fully staffed area in the front we only need assistance 1x per week between 8-1pm on Tuesday or Wednesday (alternating per week). Other duties can be adding including submitting medical authorizations online - we will train you on how to perform this. Perfect opportunity for somebody looking to add on part time hours. Experience with medical billing and/or medical office work is required 1-3 years. Please note all submission of medical billing is done offsite by our medical billing team. We are only looking for an extra staff member to call/text/email patients and collect over the phone in the office outstanding bills and unpaid bills. Front desk staff will assist in the collections process. Additional work can include calling insurances for unpaid claims, and calling patients for updated insurance IDs. Very friendly staff and patient population. Parking is covered. Many options on Larchmont for lunch are within walking distance. Bilingual for spanish is a plus. Mac laptop is also helpful for additional practice software.

Pay:

$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
