The ability to function in a fast-paced practice environment and promote excellent patient care are qualities a good candidate would possess. The right candidate is someone who is knowledgeable, detail oriented, reliable with the ability to multi-task, friendly and has excellent communication skills. Reception duties include insurance verification, working with patients, patient follow-up and recall and administrative and clerical cuties in a team setting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the front desk operations of our optometry office, ensuring a welcoming environment for patients while efficiently handling administrative tasks. This role is crucial in maintaining smooth communication between patients and healthcare providers, as well as managing medical records and scheduling appointments. We utilize EMR in the practice and use external technology for patient scheduling and communication. Our staff is cross-trained and strives in providing the best possible experience for our patients in a caring environment. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and assist them with the check-in process. Manage incoming calls and respond to inquiries regarding appointments, services, and general information. Schedule patient appointments Maintain accurate medical records and ensure confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Process patient information, including insurance details and medical history. Verifying insurance coverage and processing payments. Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure efficient patient flow and address any scheduling conflicts. Provide excellent customer service to enhance patient satisfaction and experience. Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the front desk area. We offer a competitive compensation package.
