Job Description

We are a small, patient-centered family practice seeking a reliable and friendly medical receptionist to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with the provider and staff to deliver personalized care to patients while helping maintain a welcoming and efficient office environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet patients and provide a friendly, professional first point of contact Check patients in and out, verify personal and insurance information Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls appropriately Maintain accurate patient records and update electronic health systems Collect co-pays, process payments, and provide receipts Handle insurance verification and basic billing questions Ensure patient confidentiality in compliance with privacy regulations Coordinate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow Keep the reception area clean, organized, and patient-friendly
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (additional certification in medical administration is a plus) Previous experience in a medical office or customer service role preferred Basic computer proficiency (scheduling software, billing systems, Microsoft Office)
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Friendly, compassionate, dependable and team-oriented Strong communication and organizational skills Highly organized with attention to detail Dependable and able to work independently Knowledge of medical terminology and outpatient workflows Ability to multitask independently and as part of a clinical team Bilingual Preferred (English & Spanish)
Schedule:
8 hour shift Monday to
Friday Pay:
$20.00 - $26.00 per hour
