In this vital role, you will serve as the welcoming face of our clinic, managing patient interactions, scheduling appointments, and ensuring smooth administrative operations. Your expertise in medical billing, insurance processing, and electronic health records (EHR) systems will contribute to delivering exceptional patient service and efficient clinic management. Duties Greet patients warmly and provide excellent customer service while managing front desk operations Schedule appointments efficiently using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as AsporoDental, OpenDental, etc. Verify patient insurance coverage and process claims with health insurance providers including Medicare and HIPAA compliance standards Collect payments, perform medical collections, and handle billing procedures accurately Maintain and update patient records ensuring compliance with clinical confidentiality policies and documentation review standards Assist with medical coding tasks including CPT coding, ICD-9, ICD-10, and ICD coding to support billing accuracy Answer multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette while managing appointment confirmations and patient inquiries Requirements Proven experience in a medical office setting, preferably within a dental clinic environment Strong knowledge of EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth or similar platforms Familiarity with health insurance processes including Medicare and HIPAA regulations Proficiency in medical billing, coding (CPT, ICD), and documentation review procedures Excellent computer skills with Microsoft Office suite and typing skills including 10-key typing Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively via phone and in person Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations Previous experience in medical administrative support or front desk roles is highly desirable Join us to be part of a vibrant team dedicated to providing outstanding dental care!
