Job Description Colorado Accident & Injury (CAI) is seeking a professional, mature, dependable, and highly organized Bilingual Medical Receptionist / Medical Assistant for our Colorado Springs clinic. CAI is a multidisciplinary medical practice specializing in the evaluation and treatment of patients injured in motor vehicle accidents. Our team includes medical providers, physical therapy, chiropractic care, massage therapy, pain management, and other specialty services. This position combines front-desk reception, patient coordination, medical assisting, medical records, and general clinical support . The ideal candidate is friendly, dependable, detail-oriented, comfortable working with injured patients, and able to manage multiple responsibilities in a busy clinical environment. Fluency in both Spanish and English is required. Primary ResponsibilitiesReception & Patient Services Greet patients professionally and create a welcoming clinic environment. Answer and manage incoming telephone calls. Schedule and confirm patient appointments. Check patients in and out of the clinic. Assist Spanish-speaking patients with scheduling, paperwork, and communication with the clinical team. Maintain accurate patient demographic, insurance, and contact information. Communicate professionally with patients, attorneys, insurance representatives, medical providers, and coworkers. Help coordinate referrals, diagnostic imaging, follow-up appointments, and outside consultations. Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements. Medical Assistant Responsibilities Escort patients to examination and treatment rooms. Obtain and document vital signs. Review and update patient medications, allergies, and medical history. Prepare patients for medical examinations and procedures. Assist physicians and other medical providers during clinic visits as directed. Prepare examination and procedure rooms. Maintain clinical supplies and notify management when supplies need to be reordered. Assist with scanning, uploading, and organizing medical records and diagnostic reports. Obtain outside medical records and imaging reports when requested. Document appropriate patient communications in the electronic medical record. Assist with completion of clinical forms and administrative documentation. Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked clinical areas. Required Qualifications Bilingual Spanish/English - REQUIRED. Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a clinical or medical office setting - REQUIRED. Previous experience as a Medical Assistant, Medical Receptionist, or similar healthcare position. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong computer skills. Comfortable using electronic medical records. Ability to use Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and related office applications. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities. Professional appearance and demeanor. Excellent customer-service skills. Ability to work effectively with patients who may be experiencing pain, stress, or anxiety following an injury. Preferred Qualifications Preference will be given to candidates with experience in: Personal injury or motor vehicle accident medicine Orthopedic, pain management, physical medicine, chiropractic, or rehabilitation practices Electronic medical record systems such as Athenahealth, Epic, eClinicalWorks, or similar platforms Medical records management Insurance verification Medical referrals and diagnostic imaging coordination Working with attorneys, law firms, or personal-injury patients About Colorado Accident & Injury Colorado Accident & Injury provides comprehensive multidisciplinary care for patients injured in motor vehicle accidents. Our goal is to identify injuries that may have been overlooked during the initial emergency or urgent-care evaluation and provide coordinated, evidence-based treatment supported by thorough medical documentation.
