The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing various administrative tasks in a fast-paced medical environment. This role requires proficiency in handling phone systems, scheduling appointments, and maintaining accurate patient records. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out procedures. Manage appointment scheduling and coordinate patient flow efficiently. Answer phone calls promptly, addressing inquiries and directing calls as needed. Maintain patient records using electronic medical record system. Ensure compliance with medical coding standards and assist in billing processes when necessary. Collaborate with healthcare providers to facilitate effective communication within the office. Uphold confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations regarding patient information. Skills Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor. Proficient in using computerized systems for patient management and scheduling. Experience with front desk operations in a medical office setting is preferred. Knowledge of medical office management practices and procedures. Familiarity with coding processes and terminology is a plus. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining a professional attitude under pressure. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with patients and staff efficiently.
