Job Description
You are applying for a position through Medix, a staffing agency. The actual posting represents a position at one of our clients. Job Summary Our client is seeking a dedicated Medical Receptionist to join their team. The primary responsibilities include patient check-in, chart preparation, phone management, scheduling, and providing general administrative support to ensure a smooth office workflow.
Key Responsibilities Patient Check-In:
Welcoming and checking in 20 to 50 patients daily in a prompt and friendly manner.Chart Preparation:
Manually preparing patient paper charts for upcoming clinic days with high accuracy.Phone Management:
Handling steady incoming calls, providing patient support, and managing peak phone traffic around 2:00 PM daily.Scheduling:
Utilizing a basic computer scheduling system to manage patient appointments.General Administrative Support:
Supporting the front-office team and assisting with overall office workflow. Qualifications Prior experience in a front-office, patient check-in, or medical receptionist role preferred. Comfortable working with paper charts alongside basic computer scheduling software. Strong communication skills and ability to manage high call volumes professionally. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail when preparing patient records.Skills Technical skills:
Basic computer scheduling software proficiency, and paper chart management.Soft skills:
Strong communication, organizational skills, and ability to handle high call volumes.Additional Requirements Schedule:
Monday- Friday, 8:30 AM
- 5:00 PM or 9:00 AM
- 5:30 PM.
