Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and friendly Front Desk Receptionist for our busy oral maxillofacial/cosmetic office to serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors. This vital role combines exceptional customer service with efficient administrative support, ensuring a smooth patient experience from check-in to check-out. The ideal candidate will be energetic, detail-oriented, and highly organized, with a passion for providing outstanding patient care and maintaining accurate medical records. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a collaborative healthcare team dedicated to excellence in dental and cosmetic services. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly upon arrival, verify appointment details, and assist with patient intake processes. Manage multi-line phone systems, answer inquiries professionally, and direct calls appropriately. Scanning in insurance cards, giving post operative instructions and collecting copays. Must be able to count change & process credit card transactions. Schedule appointments efficiently while coordinating with clinical staff to optimize daily operations. Contact office for referrals and x-rays, confirming appointments, cleaning rooms Support administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing office supplies to ensure a well-organized front desk environment. Familiar with teeth numbers, x-ray orientation Able to complete tasks without being asked Dental billing both electronically and paper claims Qualifications Prior experience in a dental or medical office setting is highly preferred; clinic experience is a plus. Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Carestack or 4D EMR or similar platforms. Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and typing accuracy (10 key typing). Exceptional customer service skills with professional phone etiquette and clear communication abilities. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and medical billing processes. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times.
