Job Description
Overview Join the Facial Surgery Center as a Receptionist, where your energetic and organized approach will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors alike. In this vital role, you will manage front desk operations, coordinate patient appointments, and ensure seamless communication between patients, dental staff, and insurance providers. Your positive attitude and attention to detail will help create a welcoming environment while supporting the efficient running of our dental practice. Duties Greet patients warmly and professionally, ensuring a positive first impression Schedule appointments efficiently using dental practice management software Verify patient insurance coverage and perform insurance eligibility checks Manage multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette, handling inquiries and appointment scheduling Collect and review patient documentation, including medical history forms and consent forms, adhering to clinical confidentiality policies Process payments, perform medical collections, and handle billing tasks utilizing medical billing software and CPT coding standards Maintain accurate medical records and electronic health records (EHR) management in compliance with HIPAA regulations Assist with insurance verification, claims submission, and follow-up to ensure timely reimbursements Support clinical staff with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry (including 10 key typing), and document review Ensure the front desk area remains organized, tidy, and welcoming for patients and staff Experience Prior clinic or dental office experience is highly preferred, with familiarity in dental terminology and office management practices Proven experience with EMR systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or eClinicalWorks is essential Strong knowledge of health insurance processes including Medicare, ICD-10/ICD-9/ICD coding, CPT coding, and medical billing procedures Demonstrated ability to handle medical administrative support tasks efficiently in a busy healthcare environment Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and electronic health records management software Bilingual abilities are a plus to effectively serve diverse patient populations Experience working within HIPAA guidelines to maintain patient confidentiality at all times Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and office management tasks Exceptional customer service skills combined with professional phone etiquette in handling patient inquiries This role is ideal for motivated individuals eager to contribute to a supportive healthcare environment while advancing their administrative expertise.
