Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and organized Dental Receptionist to join our vibrant dental team! In this essential role, you will be the friendly face and efficient coordinator at the front desk, ensuring a smooth patient experience from check-in to check-out. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help foster a welcoming environment while managing administrative tasks with precision. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to be the first point of contact for patients and support the seamless operation of our dental clinic. Duties Greet patients warmly, verify their appointment details, and manage patient intake processes efficiently Schedule appointments using dental practice management software such as SOFTDENT, ensuring optimal daily flow Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and handle insurance verifications accurately Collect payments, process co-pays, and manage medical billing Maintain accurate dental records, review documentation for completeness, and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations Answer multi-line phone systems professionally, provide excellent patient service, and address inquiries promptly Manage front desk operations including filing, data entry, and maintaining organized medical records and office supplies Qualifications Proven experience as a medical or dental receptionist with strong knowledge of dental terminology and office procedures Familiarity with EMR systems such as
SOFTDENT.
Knowledge of medical coding including CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9/10 (International Classification of Diseases), and ICD coding standards Ability to handle insurance verification processes and medical billing with accuracy and efficiency Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and typing skills (including 10 key typing) Strong communication skills with professional phone etiquette; bilingual abilities are a plus Prior clinic or dental office experience is highly preferred; familiarity with health information management is advantageous Demonstrated organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and office management tasks Join us to be part of a dedicated team committed to providing exceptional patient care through professionalism, efficiency, and a positive attitude! Pay:
$24.00 - $27.00 per hour
