Front Desk Phone Coordinator - Oral Surgery (Seaford, DE) First State Oral Surgery Seaford, DE | Full-Time First State Oral Surgery is seeking an experienced Front Desk Phone Coordinator to support our busy, fast-paced multi-location oral surgery practice . This role is ideal for a highly organized healthcare professional with strong dental scheduling, oral surgery, insurance verification, and high-volume patient communication experience . As the first point of contact for our patients and referring offices, this team member plays a critical role in delivering exceptional service while coordinating schedules for multiple providers across several locations. We are looking for someone who is professional, efficient, detail-oriented, and comfortable handling a large volume of calls in a specialty surgical environment. Why Join First State Oral Surgery? Established, growing multi-provider oral surgery practice Supportive leadership and team-focused environment Opportunity for growth within a specialty surgical office Competitive compensation based on experience Benefits package available PTO and paid holidays Cross-training and advancement opportunities Primary Responsibilities Answer high-volume incoming calls Schedule oral surgery consultations, sedation cases, extractions, implants, biopsies, and post-op visits Coordinate provider schedules across multiple locations to maximize efficiency Receive and process referrals from general dentists, orthodontists, and specialty offices Review and verify patient demographics, insurance, and Medicaid eligibility Explain appointment instructions, arrival times, fasting requirements, and financial expectations Manage appointment confirmations, cancellations, reschedules, and waitlists Triage urgent patient concerns and route appropriately to clinical teams Communicate with assistants, office managers, and providers regarding scheduling needs Document all calls accurately in the patient chart and scheduling system Maintain strict HIPAA compliance and confidentiality Assist with workflow support for insurance and treatment coordination teams
