Job Description

Description:
Receptionists will operate under the direct supervision of the Center Manager and more generally under the Medical/Laboratory Director, and at times will take instruction from the Physician Substitute on site. Receptionists will ensure donor suitability, product integrity and the continued good health of donors through the compliance with Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, state regulations, and the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) Manual guidelines and any other applicable regulatory standards. The following list is intended to be a guideline. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned: Read write and understand the English language Greet and register donors Attend to donors' needs Contact donors and schedule donor appointments; conduct follow-up on missed appointments Ensure area is clean and maintained according to regulations Communicate delays and other issues to center management, nurse and/or other necessary parties Assess supply inventory; order and restock, as needed Document activities and issues, when necessary Administer health history questionnaire to new and repeat donors Assist in the payment of donor fees at the checkout window Answer donor inquiries Available to travel up to 25 miles to other facility(ies) for training or assisting other center's staffing needs Other duties, as assigned
Requirements:
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent (must provide documentation) Ability to read and write English+ Proficiency in computer operations 1-2 years of customer service experience desired
Required Skills/Abilities:
Personality and demeanor to deal with the public; including distraught donors. Basic office skills such as typing and filing. Good organizational skills.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
