Overview Join our dynamic outpatient dynamic team as a part time Medical Receptionist , where you will serve as the welcoming, organized, and reliable first point of contact for our patients. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a medical office setting, enjoys helping patients navigate their care, and excels at managing fast‑moving administrative workflows with accuracy and compassion. The ideal candidate has experience working in a medical office or outpatient clinic . Key Responsibilities Patient Reception and Front Desk Operations Greet patients warmly and professionally, ensuring a smooth and supportive check‑in experience Manage the full appointment lifecycle, including scheduling new visits, follow‑ups, and procedure appointments Answer incoming calls, manage voicemail and portal messages, and route communication to the appropriate provider or staff member Verify patient demographics, insurance eligibility, and required authorizations prior to visits Knowledge of insurance verification and prior authorizations Collect copays, process payments, and update patient records Update and maintain patient records within the electronic health record (EHR/EMR) system Coordinate patient flow by communicating effectively with providers and clinical staff Assist with referral coordination, medical record requests, and general administrative support Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front desk environment Qualifications Prior experience in medical settings such as medical office, outpatient clinic, or specialty practice. Strong customer service skills with a patient‑centered approach Proficient working with electronic medical records (EHR/EMR systems), especially AthenaOne Excellent patient service skills combined with organizational abilities to handle multiple priorities efficiently. Strong communication, multitasking, and organizational skills Customer service mindset and patient-centered approach Bilingual in Spanish Preferred Qualifications Experience in neurology, headache, pain management, or specialty clinics
Pay:
$18.00 - $19.00 per hour
