Job Summary:
The Medical Receptionist is the first point of contact for patients in a doctor's office. This role is responsible for providing excellent customer service, managing front desk operations, scheduling appointments, and ensuring accurate patient information is collected and maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage calendars for providers Check patients in and out, verifying personal and insurance information Collect co-pays, balances, and process payments Maintain and update patient records in electronic health record (EHR) systems Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence (calls, emails, faxes) Coordinate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow Verify insurance eligibility and obtain necessary authorizations when required Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front office environment Ensure compliance with HIPAA and confidentiality standards
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent Previous experience in a medical office or customer service role preferred Basic knowledge of medical terminology and office procedures Familiarity with EHR systems and scheduling software Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment Attention to detail and organizational skills

$16.00 - $18.00 per hour
