Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team! In this vital role, you will be the friendly first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience. Your expertise in appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and clinic/patient management will help streamline clinic operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-quality patient care. Requirements include some knowledge of medical terminology, ability to work autonomously, organizational skills, excellent communication skills, ability to maintain a tidy office, and strong interpersonal skills. Responsibilities include but may not be limited to: Greet patients warmly, check-in appointments, and manage patient intake efficiently Schedule appointments using medical scheduling software and coordinate with clinical staff Verify insurance coverage and perform insurance eligibility checks with health plans such as Medicare Maintain accurate medical records Handle multi-line phone systems for multiple offices with professionalism, providing clear communication and appointment confirmations Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA and practice clinical confidentiality policies at all times Support front desk operations by filing, managing correspondence, and maintaining organized patient files Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure seamless clinic flow Maintain a tidy office at all times Requirements Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar medical office role with clinic or experience preferred Some knowledge of health insurance processes such as insurance verification Familiarity with scheduling systems Excellent customer service skills combined with professional phone etiquette and effective communication abilities Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail Knowledge of medical terminology and medical billing is advantageous Understanding of clinical confidentiality policies and healthcare regulations such as HIPAA is essential Office management or clerical experience in a healthcare setting is preferred Join our team where your organizational talents and compassionate approach will make a meaningful difference in patients' lives!
