Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and organized Dental Receptionist to join our vibrant dental team! In this essential role, you will be the welcoming face of our practice, managing patient interactions, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance eligibility and benefits, and ensuring smooth administrative operations. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help create a positive experience for every patient while supporting the clinical team with accurate documentation and efficient office management. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and assist with check-in and check-out processes using electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft Schedule appointments accurately, manage multi-line phone systems, and coordinate patient flow throughout the day Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and handle insurance verification using systems like Epic, Meditech, or Athenahealth Collect payments, process medical collections, and support billing activities including coding with CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), Dental Insurance verification and benefit coverage, and dental terminology Maintain organized medical records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality policies Review documentation for accuracy, update patient files, and assist in managing electronic health records (EHR) using EMR/EHR platforms such as Eaglesoft or Open Dental. Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and care Qualifications Prior experience as a dental receptionist or in a medical office environment is highly preferred; clinic or dental clinic experience is a plus Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Athenahealth Knowledge of dental billing, coding (ADA, CDT), insurance verification, and health information management practices Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and multi-line phone system operation Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion while maintaining clinical confidentiality at all times Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and filing processes Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while providing outstanding patient service Join us in delivering exceptional dental care by ensuring our front office runs smoothly!
