Led by Dr. Ali Golshan, we are committed to providing compassionate, high-quality care in a welcoming and professional environment. We are seeking a reliable, friendly, and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our team in Fort Myers, FL and Naples, FL .Responsibilities:
Front Desk / Reception Duties (approx. 90%) Assist in setting up our offices in both Fort Myers and Naples to ensure they are presentable and patient-ready. These are new office locations, so this role will require some upfront office set-up (e.g. placing furniture, ordering supplies, liaising with property management for signage and utilities, other tasks as required) Greet patients and visitors warmly, creating a positive first impression Answer incoming calls promptly and courteously Manage appointment scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations, including sending reminders and follow-ups Support with verification of insurance and collection of co-pays Serve as a liaison between patients and clinical staff, ensuring timely communication of messages, results, and care instructions Manage patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently, helping patients understand next steps, follow-up appointments, or referrals Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the electronic medical record (EMR) system, including scanning and processing incoming faxes, referrals, and medical documents Keep the reception and waiting areas clean, comfortable, and organized, reflecting the professional image of the practice Assist the team with administrative support as needed, helping to ensure smooth daily office flow Participate in team meetings, training, and quality improvement efforts to enhance patient satisfaction and practice efficiency Accept and sign for deliveries, notify appropriate staff, and ensure items are stored or distributed properly Maintain a calm and supportive demeanor, even in busy or stressful situations or when dealing with difficult third parties or patients Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to support the overall operations and success of the practice Maintain office supplies inventory Back Office / Medical Assistant Duties (approx. 10%) Facilitate patient intake by escorting patients to exam rooms, recording vital signs, and entering data into the EHR system. Assist clinical staff with procedures and documentation, where appropriate Maintain exam room cleanliness and stock supplies Ensure patient comfort and confidentiality at all times Support clinical team with other duties as neededQualifications:
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent Exceptional communication and customer service skills Warm, friendly and polite personality Experience using EHR systems Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment Independence and proactiveness - we are looking for someone who can take on a new task with limited experience; propose a solution; and ask for help where needed Demonstrates initiative by proactively identifying tasks, resolving issues efficiently, and completing assignments with minimal supervision while maintaining a productive and organized office environment.Preferred:
