In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for patients, managing appointments, verifying insurance, and ensuring seamless communication between patients and clinical staff. Duties Greet patients warmly upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression and smooth check-in process Schedule appointments accurately using dental practice management software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix Verify insurance coverage, including health insurance knowledge, Medicare, Medicaid, and other third-party payers Manage multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette and clear communication Handle medical billing and collections, including processing payments and following up on outstanding balances Review documentation for accuracy and completeness in compliance with clinical confidentiality policies and HIPAA regulations Maintain organized medical records and electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Epic, Meditech, or eClinicalWorks Assist with insurance verification, claims submission, and CPT coding along with
ICD-9/10
coding procedures Support office management tasks including filing, data entry (10 key typing), and clinic administrative support Ensure compliance with health information management standards while providing excellent patient service Skills Proven experience in dental office or medical administrative support with strong clinic experience Proficiency in EMR/EHR system Open Dental. Knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding, and medical billing processes Familiarity with dental insurance verification processes Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) for documentation review and office tasks Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively via phone and in person Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations effectively Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism Understanding of clinical confidentiality policies aligned with HIPAA standards Office management skills including filing, appointment scheduling, intake procedures, and multi-line phone operation Join us to be part of a vibrant team dedicated to providing exceptional dental care!
