As an established and fast-growing practice, we are looking for a skilled, outgoing and reliable employee with experience to join our team. Job Duties and Skills
  • Phone / Scheduling /
Referrals:
Answer phone calls in a courteous and professional matter. Receive and convey all messages (written and verbal) to appropriate staff members. Schedule patient appointments according to office policy. Confirm patient appointments 72 hours in advance as well as confirm patient demographic and insurance information prior to patient arriving for appointment. Set up patient electronic medical record prior to each visit while ensuring it is up to date by scanning all reports and documents. Complete referral authorization requests and provide referral information to other medical offices. Request testing completed in other medical office or hospitals for patients.
  • Check in / Check Out Greet patients upon arrival, check them into our EMR system, confirm patient demographics, current pharmacy, collect appropriate payment and place any new/requested information into chart so that the patient is ready to be seen by the provider.
Ability to interpret patient balance information. Collect balances, co-payments and procedural payments according to patient's insurance plan and post correct charges and payments to the patient's chart. Track patients from check in to check out on the EMR system to make sure they are seen in a timely manner. Schedule patient's follow up appointment upon checking out.

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred
  • Experience in a medical office setting is preferred Pay
