Job Description
Overview Join our dental team as a Front Desk Receptionist! You will be the first point of contact for our patients and play an important role in creating a welcoming, organized, and positive experience. Responsibilities include scheduling appointments, checking patients in and out, managing phone calls, and supporting the daily tasks of the front office. We are looking for a friendly, dependable, and organized individual who is committed to providing excellent patient care. Duties Greet patients warmly and professionally, ensuring a smooth and welcoming check-in and check-out experience. Schedule and confirm appointments accurately using Dentrix Ascend. Verify dental insurance eligibility, benefits, and coverage before patient appointments. Answer and manage multi-line phone calls professionally while responding promptly to patient questions and concerns. Review patient forms and maintain accurate, up-to-date patient information. Present treatment plans, collect payments, and assist with billing using CDT codes. Maintain organized patient records while following HIPAA and confidentiality requirements. Send appointment reminders and complete follow-up calls as needed. Communicate effectively with the clinical team to support an efficient daily schedule. Assist with general front-office and administrative duties as assigned. Requirements Previous dental front desk or dental administrative experience is required(1-2 of years experience). Experience with Dentrix Ascend or similar dental practice management software is a plus. Knowledge of dental insurance verification, eligibility, benefits, claims, and billing procedures. Familiarity with dental terminology and CDT codes. Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and electronic patient records. Excellent customer service, communication, and professional phone etiquette. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred. Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail. Ability to multitask and remain professional in a busy dental office. Dependable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team. Ability to protect confidential patient information and follow HIPAA requirements. This position plays an important role in providing an exceptional patient experience and supporting the efficient operation of our dental practice.
