You'll manage appointment scheduling, insurance verification, medical and dental records, and facilitate clear communication between patients and clinical staff. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and provide excellent customer service, creating a friendly and professional atmosphere at the front desk Schedule appointments efficiently using dental practice management software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring optimal patient flow Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and handle insurance authorizations using systems like Epic, Meditech, or Athenahealth Collect payments, process co-pays, and manage medical billing tasks including CPT coding, ICD-9/ICD-10 coding, and Medicare claims Maintain accurate and confidential medical records in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems such as eClinicalWorks or EMR systems in compliance with HIPAA regulations Review documentation for completeness and accuracy, ensuring all patient information is up-to-date and properly filed Manage multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette, schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and coordinate patient intake processes Support clinical staff by handling administrative duties such as filing, data entry (including 10-key typing), and managing electronic health records (EHR) management Verify insurance benefits for health plans including Medicaid or private insurers; assist patients with insurance questions related to dental procedures Ensure adherence to clinical confidentiality policies while managing sensitive health information and medical records Qualifications Proven experience in a dental office or medical front desk role with strong knowledge of dental terminology and clinical procedures Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, eClinicalWorks, Meditech, Epic or Athenahealth; experience with electronic health records management is highly preferred Solid understanding of health insurance processes including verification, billing, CPT coding, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), Medicare claims processing and care plan documentation Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for documentation review and communication purposes Strong customer service skills coupled with professional phone etiquette; ability to handle multi-line phone systems efficiently Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse patient populations effectively Office management experience in a healthcare setting is preferred; familiarity with HIPAA regulations ensures confidentiality at all times Ability to perform clerical tasks such as filing, data entry (including 10-key typing), and managing medical records accurately Knowledge of dental terminology and clinic operations enhances your ability to support both patients and clinical staff effectively Join us in delivering compassionate care through seamless administrative support!
