Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Unit Secretary to join our team at North Lake Care Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. As a Unit Secretary, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our sub-acute medical care, rehabilitation services, and 24-hour skilled nursing care facility. Responsibilities:
Ensure accuracy and efficiency in documenting patient information, medical records, and administrative tasks Manage and prioritize phone calls, messages, and requests from patients, families, and healthcare providers Assist with patient scheduling, insurance verification, and billing inquiries Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure seamless communication and effective care coordination Perform various clerical tasks, such as filing, photocopying, and scanning documents Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient satisfaction and outcomes
Requirements:
1 year of experience in a healthcare setting High school diploma or equivalent required (additional education or certifications a plus)
