Full Job Description Position Summary :

Demonstrates excellent customer service attitude while assisting the Nurse managers and other nursing staff in coordinating the administrative activities and patient care delivery on the nursing units. Responsible for ensuring a professional atmosphere in the nursing unit. Demonstrates good public relations skills during interaction with physicians, patients, visitors, and other hospital staff. Greets, directs, and gives non-professional factual information to patients and personnel from other departments. Critical to success of patient and physician satisfaction. Qualifications/Requirements Education High School Diploma or equivalent. Required licensures/certifications AHA Heart Saver (BLS) Skills and Abilities Must be able to change priorities and appropriately while maintaining professional demeanor, especially during emergencies and/or stressful situation. Good oral and written communication skills in the English language. Medical terminology. Experience Previous experience as a unit secretary in a hospital or physician office preferred or satisfactory completion of unit secretary training program.
