Medical Receptionist

Our busy medical office is looking for a Medical Receptionist to cover our front desk and answer phones. Responsibilities include receiving patients, greeting clients and insurance representatives, answering incoming calls, scheduling appointments and verifying insurance coverage. The ideal candidate will be quick to learn new tasks, organized, efficient and detail oriented. This position does require travel between Leesburg and Summerfiled office locations.

Responsibilities:

Greet patients and other visitors to the clinic in a friendly, professional manner as they enter the clinic. Provide telephone support to patients and other visitors seeking information about the clinic. Answer routine questions from telephone callers. Schedule patient appointments and verify insurance information, as necessary. Provide information to patients about their medical condition and answer questions in a confidential manner. Keep track of supplies and equipment needed for the smooth operation of the clinic. Be familiar with various types of insurance, such as Medicare and MediCal.,Be familiar with local hospitals, such as Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and John George Psychiatric Pavilion in Encino.
