The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong background in medical administrative support, and a passion for delivering outstanding patient service. In this role, you will manage patient interactions, coordinate appointments, handle billing and insurance processes, and ensure smooth daily operations within the clinic environment. Your attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality will contribute significantly to providing a welcoming and efficient experience for our patients. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression and providing exceptional customer service. Schedule appointments accurately using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Meditech, or eClinicalWorks, while managing calendar conflicts efficiently. Verify patient insurance coverage, process claims, and perform medical billing tasks including medical collection activities in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collect and review patient documentation, ensuring completeness and accuracy in accordance with clinical confidentiality policies. Maintain and update patient records within EMR/EHR systems like Athenahealth or Meditech with precision and attention to detail. Handle phone communication professionally, answering inquiries about services, appointment scheduling, and insurance questions while practicing proper phone etiquette. Manage administrative tasks such as filing medical records, processing payments, performing 10 key typing, and maintaining organized office files. Collaborate with clinical staff to facilitate care plans and ensure smooth clinic operations while adhering to health information management standards. Skills Extensive experience with medical office management including front desk duties in a dental or clinical setting. Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks; familiarity with electronic health records management is essential. Strong knowledge of health insurance processes including Medicare, CPT coding, ICD-9/ICD-10 coding, and medical billing procedures. Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for documentation review and administrative support tasks. Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations effectively. Demonstrated understanding of HIPAA compliance, clinical confidentiality policies, and medical terminology related to dental care. Exceptional customer service skills combined with professional phone etiquette and effective communication abilities. Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy in documentation review and data entry.
