About the Role Dr. GoodPrice is seeking a friendly, organized, and patient-focused Medical Front Desk professional to serve as the first point of contact for patients and help create a positive experience from arrival through checkout. This position plays an essential role in patient registration, communication, payment processing, administrative follow-up, and daily clinic operations. The ideal candidate is bilingual in English and Spanish, detail-oriented, comfortable managing multiple priorities, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume outpatient clinic. Key Responsibilities Patient Reception and Experience Welcome patients and visitors warmly and professionally. Complete patient check-in and checkout efficiently. Verify demographic, contact, and identification information. Ensure required forms, consents, acknowledgments, and signatures are complete. Explain clinic services, approved pricing, payment processes, and estimated wait times. Provide timely updates regarding delays and address patient concerns within established authority. Escalate unresolved service issues to the appropriate team member. Patient Flow and Clinic Coordination Manage the walk-in arrival sequence and support an organized patient flow. Coordinate with APRNs and Medical Assistants regarding patient status, room availability, delays, and next steps. Promptly communicate patient-reported symptoms or medical concerns to licensed clinical staff. Communications and Administrative Follow-Up Manage telephone calls, WhatsApp messages, emails, faxes, and other approved communication channels. Provide accurate nonclinical information and route clinical questions to licensed clinical staff. Complete patient reminders, scheduling, referrals, and administrative follow-up based on documented provider and/or manager instructions. Route vendor and operational concerns to the appropriate department. Support approved patient outreach and marketing communications using authorized scripts, consent requirements, and privacy protocols. Lab, Radiology, and Digital Records Coordination Track laboratory and radiology results and maintain accurate follow-up logs. Follow up with vendors regarding missing results, delayed pickups, or service issues. Route results and related documentation to the appropriate provider for review. Serve as the administrative contact for result-status inquiries while referring clinical questions to a licensed provider. Scan, upload, and maintain patient documents using Practice Fusion, Updox, and other approved systems. Cash Handling and Daily Closeout Collect and accurately record self-pay payments. Process approved payment methods and issue receipts. Reconcile cash, credit card, POS, and EHR transactions. Complete daily closeout documentation and required reports. Clinic Readiness, Inventory, and Facility Support Complete assigned clinic opening and closing procedures. Ensure reception-area readiness, system access, document security, cash controls, required checklists, and end-of-day reporting. Perform weekly physical counts of assigned inventory, including PRX products, office supplies, forms, and front-desk materials. Record inventory quantities accurately and restock items as needed. Report shortages, damaged or expired products, and inventory discrepancies promptly. Conduct periodic checks of the reception area, waiting room, and bathrooms to ensure they remain organized, presentable, and adequately Jackie stocked. Compliance and Confidentiality Protect patient and company information in accordance with HIPAA and internal privacy requirements. Follow applicable OSHA, infection-control, workplace-safety, records-management, and administrative protocols. Maintain the confidentiality and security of physical and electronic patient records. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. At least one year of medical front-desk, medical office, patient-service, or comparable healthcare experience; two or more years preferred. Professional fluency in English and Spanish, both written and spoken. Experience using EHR systems, POS terminals, payment-processing systems, and standard office technology. Practice Fusion and Updox experience preferred. Working knowledge of medical terminology, patient-registration procedures, and HIPAA requirements. Strong customer-service, communication, organization, and conflict-resolution skills. Strong attention to detail when entering patient information, handling payments, and maintaining confidential records. Ability to manage multiple priorities, frequent interruptions, and high patient volume. Ability to remain professional and composed when addressing patient concerns or difficult interactions. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with clinical and administrative teams. Legally authorized to work in the United States.
