Job Description

We are seeking a phenomenal Front Desk Customer Service Dental Floater who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care and thrives in a relationship-based dental practice.
Hours:
30-40 hours per week
Schedule:
Approximately 3 days per week (varies) Flexibility required Qualifications Required Minimum 1 year of experience working in an office setting High School Diploma or equivalent Strong understanding of HIPAA and commitment to patient confidentiality Outstanding customer service and relationship-building skills Excellent communication skills and professional phone etiquette Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment Computer savvy with the ability to learn and utilize various software systems Willingness to learn and be cross-trained to assist clinical staff when needed Preferred Minimum 1 year of front desk experience in a dental office Minimum 1 year of dental or medical billing experience X-ray Certification Who We Are We are an award-winning, three-time "Best of Florida" boutique dental office committed to honest, conservative dentistry. Responsibilities The Front Desk Float will perform the following duties (in addition to other responsibilities as needed by the Dentist and/or Office Manager): Patient Experience & Front Desk Operations Greet and welcome patients warmly, both in person and over the phone Deliver an exceptional customer service experience at every interaction Answer phones, return voicemails, monitor emails, and respond to patient inquiries Schedule, confirm, reschedule, and optimize appointments to maintain an efficient daily schedule Perform patient check-in and check-out procedures Collect payments and assist patients with billing questions Establish new patient accounts and process required paperwork Verify dental insurance benefits and eligibility Assist patients with treatment scheduling and treatment acceptance Coordinate referrals with specialists Maintain patient records, charts, and portal information Scan and organize documentation, including EOBs and insurance correspondence Administrative & Billing Support Assist with claims submission and insurance follow-up Complete balance billing and patient account management tasks Generate reports to assist office management Support inventory management and supply organization Monitor office communications and patient follow-up needs Participate in community outreach and charitable initiatives, including our Stars, Stripes, Smiles program Clinical Support Assist clinical staff when needed Room patients and prepare operatories Record blood pressure and update patient information Clean and stock treatment rooms Sterilize instruments and equipment Take X-rays (if certified) Assist with procedures as directed Maintain accurate documentation while adhering to HIPAA regulations Team Collaboration Attend scheduled team meetings Build and maintain positive relationships with patients, vendors, specialists, and fellow team members Support a positive office culture and contribute to team success Join Our Team If you are a patient-focused professional who values meaningful relationships, high-quality care, and a supportive team culture, we would love to meet you.
