Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Full-Time Bilingual Medical Secretary to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be fluent in both English and Spanish possess strong medical office experience, and demonstrate a passion for delivering outstanding patient service. Duties Manage patient appointments, schedule follow-ups, and coordinate clinical workflows using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems prefer eClinicalWorks. Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance verifications, and handle billing processes including medical collection and Medicare claims. Review and update medical records with accuracy, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies. Assist patients at the front desk with check-in/check-out procedures while providing exceptional customer service via phone and in person. Utilize office management software such as Microsoft Office, Excel, Filecenter to maintain organized filing systems and manage electronic health records efficiently. Support clinical staff by handling administrative tasks like intake procedures, medical documentation review, and appointment confirmations. Skills Proven experience in a medical office setting with strong knowledge of health insurance processes including verification Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems PREFER eClinicalWorks Excellent bilingual communication skills in English and Spanish to serve diverse patient populations effectively. Strong understanding of medical terminology across various specialties . Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality are upheld at all times. Adept at using computer skills including typing (10-key), Microsoft Office applications, multi-line phone systems, and electronic health record management tools. Demonstrated ability to provide excellent patient service through phone etiquette, front desk support, and care coordination.
