Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Dental Front Desk Staff member, where your energetic and welcoming attitude will set the tone for a positive patient experience. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, managing appointments, insurance processing, and administrative support with precision and care. Your proactive approach will ensure smooth clinic operations while maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality and professionalism. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a compassionate team dedicated to delivering exceptional dental care. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and professionally, creating a friendly and efficient check-in process Schedule appointments accurately using dental practice management software and coordinate patient flow Verify insurance coverage, process claims, and handle medical billing using systems such as OpenDental Manage patient records with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies Assist with documentation review, CPT coding, ICD-9/10 coding, and review of care plans for accuracy and completeness Handle phone communication with patients, insurance companies, and vendors with excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills Maintain organized filing systems for medical records and electronic health records (EHR), ensuring easy retrieval and security Assist in financial presentation and patient care coordination Experience Prior clinic or dental office experience is highly preferred, demonstrating familiarity with front desk operations in a healthcare setting Strong computer skills including proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as OpenDental Knowledge of health insurance procedures and medical billing practices Bilingual abilities are a plus to effectively serve diverse patient populations Experience with medical administrative support tasks like filing, typing (including 10 key typing), and office management is desirable Excellent communication skills for engaging with patients over the phone and in person while maintaining professionalism at all times Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while adhering to clinical documentation standards Join us to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives by providing outstanding front desk support in a vibrant dental clinic environment.
