We are seeking a highly organized Patient Appointment Scheduler with a strong commitment to patient care. The Patient Appointment Scheduler is responsible for coordinating patient appointments in a courteous, efficient, and timely manner. This role serves as the first point of contact for patients and ensures accurate scheduling based on provider availability and patient needs. The Patient Appointment Scheduler also verifies insurance information, processes referrals, and works collaboratively with clinical and administrative staff to support a smooth patient experience.Our Culture:

- Greet patients and schedule patient appointments efficiently, considering physician availability and patient preferences
- Handle inbound calls and inquiries from patients regarding appointments and general inquiries with professionalism and empathy
- Maintain accurate patient records, ensuring all necessary information is collected and updated in the system
- Protect patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of medical, personal, and financial information
- Verify patient insurance coverage and communicate any relevant information to patients' chart
- Work closely with medical and administrative staff to ensure smooth patient flow and resolve scheduling conflicts effectively
- Process referrals as ordered by providers, including obtaining necessary authorizations and ensuring timely follow-up.
- Address patient concerns and complaints promptly and escalate complex issues to the appropriate personnel when necessary
- Maintain operations by following policies and procedures, reporting needed changes
- Assist with other administrative tasks as assigned by management
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Additional certification in medical office administration or related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in appointment scheduling or customer service role.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Page 1 of 2

- Proficiency in using scheduling software and electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in patient records and scheduling.

- Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules as needed.
