Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist/Check-In professional to join our busy physician owned primary care practice. We are looking for someone who is positive, energetic, and professional. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional patient service while managing a variety of administrative and clinical tasks. Your energetic approach will ensure smooth office operations, accurate documentation, and a welcoming environment for all patients. The ideal candidate will have strong computer skills, familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems ( Eclinical Works), and a passion for delivering outstanding patient care. Phlebotomy experience would be a huge bonus. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly upon arrival, verify their appointments, and facilitate check-in procedures efficiently. Manage patient registration, insurance verification, and collection of co-pays using systems such as eClinicalWorks. Schedule appointments accurately and coordinate with clinical staff to optimize daily clinic flow. Review and update medical records ensuring compliance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies. Operate multi-line phone systems with professionalism, providing clear communication. Triage calls Maintain organized filing systems Support office management tasks such as filing, data entry, labs recs, and managing office supplies to keep the front desk running smoothly. Collaborate with healthcare providers on care plans and ensure all patient information is accurately documented in compliance with health information management standards. Uphold clinical confidentiality policies while handling sensitive patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Experience Prior experience working in a medical or dental office environment is highly preferred. Demonstrated proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as eClinicalWorks Strong knowledge of medical terminology, insurance processes including verification and Medicare billing. Bilingual skills are a plus to effectively communicate with diverse patient populations. Excellent customer service skills combined with professional phone etiquette and effective communication abilities. Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced clinical setting while maintaining attention to detail. Phlebotomy experience would be a bonus
