The Medical Front Desk Coordinator is responsible for creating a welcoming patient experience and supporting the daily administrative operations of a chiropractic office. This role manages front desk activities, patient scheduling, insurance verification, intake paperwork, phone communication, and general office support.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet patients and visitors in a detail oriented, friendly manner Answer incoming calls and respond to scheduling and general office inquiries Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments Check patients in and out accurately and efficiently Collect and update patient demographics, insurance information, and required forms Verify insurance eligibility and benefits when needed Maintain patient records and ensure documentation is complete and organized Process payments, issue receipts, and balance front desk transactions Coordinate communication between patients and clinical staff Support office workflow by handling filing, scanning, faxing, and other administrative duties Help maintain a clean, organized, and detail oriented reception area Ensure patient confidentiality and compliance with office policies and healthcare privacy standards
Requirements Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required Previous medical front desk, receptionist, or healthcare administrative experience preferred Experience in a chiropractic, medical, or wellness office is a plus Strong customer service and interpersonal skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proficiency with scheduling systems, electronic records, and standard office software Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Knowledge of insurance verification, patient intake, and payment collection preferred
