Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and organized Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing various administrative tasks. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office and requires familiarity with medical terminology and office management software. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out procedures. Schedule appointments and manage the clinic calendar efficiently. Handle incoming calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls to appropriate staff members. Maintain accurate patient records using eClinicalWorks and Dentrix software. Process medical billing and collections, ensuring timely follow-up on outstanding accounts. Assist with clerical duties such as filing, data entry, and maintaining health information management systems. Communicate effectively with patients regarding therapy terminology, treatment plans, and office policies. Ensure the front desk area is organized and welcoming for patients. Requirements Previous experience as a Front Desk Receptionist or in a similar clerical role within a dental or medical office is preferred. Proficiency in eClinicalWorks and Dentrix software is highly desirable. Some understanding of medical billing, collections, and therapy medical terminology or willing to learn. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively. High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in health information management are a plus.
