Job Description

Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Receptionist, where your energetic and welcoming attitude will set the tone for an exceptional patient experience. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, managing appointments, verifying insurance, and handling administrative tasks with precision and care. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will ensure smooth clinic operations and foster a positive environment for both patients and staff. Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival, creating a friendly and inviting atmosphere Schedule patient appointments efficiently using dental practice management software such as Dentrix Ascend Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance authorizations, and handle billing processes including medical collection procedures Maintain accurate and organized dental records, including documentation review, filing, and updating electronic health records Assist with medical administrative support tasks such as intake forms, care plan documentation, and HIPAA compliance adherence Prior experience in a dental or medical office setting is highly preferred; clinic or dental clinic experience is a plus Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, ICD-10/ICD-9 coding, CPT coding, and medical billing procedures Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, Meditech, Epic or Athenahealth; familiarity with Medisoft or eClinicalWorks is advantageous Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel) and typing skills (10-key typing) Ability to handle sensitive patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations with discretion and professionalism Exceptional customer service skills paired with strong clerical experience in front desk operations and office management Knowledge of insurance verification processes, Medicare procedures, ICD coding (ICD-10), and medical documentation review is essential Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment Join us in making a difference by providing top-tier administrative support that empowers our patients' journey toward optimal oral health.
