Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Dental Receptionist to join our vibrant dental team! Your expertise in medical administrative support, appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and patient communication will help us deliver exceptional dental care. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and manage front desk operations with professionalism and enthusiasm Schedule appointments efficiently using dental office management software such as Dentrix Verify insurance coverage and benefits, including Medicare and Medicaid, ensuring accurate billing and coding with CPT, ICD-9, and ICD-10 codes Collect payments, process medical collections, and handle billing using EMR systems like Dentrix Ascend Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for health information management Answer multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette; assist patients with inquiries and appointment rescheduling Review documentation for accuracy, including care plans and medical records; support medical billing and coding processes Manage filing of medical records, insurance documents, and clinic paperwork to ensure organized office operations Support clinic staff with administrative tasks such as data entry, typing (including 10-key typing), and document review Experience Prior experience working in a dental clinic or medical office environment is highly preferred Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, Dentrix or Eaglesoft Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, CPT coding, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), and insurance verification processes Experience handling medical billing, collections, and documentation review in a healthcare setting Bilingual abilities are a plus to effectively communicate with diverse patient populations Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with multi-line phone systems and office management software is essential Proven customer service skills with a focus on patient service excellence in a busy office environment Join us to be part of a dedicated team committed to delivering compassionate dental care while fostering a positive work environment. Pay:
$21.00 - $25.00 per hour
