This vital role serves as the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a welcoming and efficient experience from the moment they walk through the door. The ideal candidate will excel in managing administrative tasks, coordinating patient appointments, and maintaining accurate medical records—all while providing exceptional customer service. Duties Greet patients warmly and professionally, creating a positive first impression Schedule patient appointments using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Epic, Meditech, or Athenahealth Verify patient insurance coverage and process payments through medical billing and collection procedures Manage incoming phone calls with excellent phone etiquette, addressing inquiries and directing calls appropriately Maintain accurate and organized medical records, including documentation review and coding using CPT, ICD-9, ICD-10, and ICD-10 codes Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient confidentiality and handling sensitive health information responsibly Assist with administrative support tasks such as data entry, filing, and managing electronic health records (EHR systems) like eClinicalWorks or Meditech Qualifications Proven experience in a medical office setting or healthcare environment with strong clerical skills Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks Knowledge of medical terminology, health insurance processes, and clinical confidentiality policies Ability to perform 10-key typing efficiently along with proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office suite Excellent communication skills—bilingual abilities are a plus!—and strong customer service orientation Experience with medical coding (CPT, ICD-9/10), medical billing, and care plan documentation review preferred Demonstrated ability to handle phone communication professionally while managing multiple administrative tasks simultaneously Join us to be part of a dedicated healthcare team committed to delivering outstanding patient care!
