Job Description
Private practice allergy office in Kenilworth, Illinois currently looking for Full time medical receptionist/front desk. Applicant must have prior medical reception experience. Knowledge of electronic medical record keeping (Athena) would be great. We are looking for candidates that would be able to work Monday-Friday. Administrative/ Medical receptionist duties will include but are not limited to: Greeting patients professionally both in person and on the phone Answering phone calls, messages and emails from patients Filing and scanning medical records and other documents Keeping the front desk and waiting area organized, clean and running smoothly Scheduling appointments and follow-ups for patients Calling patients to remind them of their appointments Using a computer, medical office software, and other technology to keep information organized and up-to-date Processing payments from patients Obtaining complete patient information including but not limited it insurance, demographics, and previous medical history. Keeping the waiting and reception areas clean and inviting Contacting insurance companies Unpacking and putting away shipments that are received. Monitoring fax machine and distributing faxes to the appropriate department or person. Making sure patient charts are complete and are prepped for days to come. Maintaining a working relationship with the medical receptionists at other medical offices or departments
