Job Description
Duties:
Traveling required between clinics- Greet and check-in patients as they arrive at the medical facility
- Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate department or staff member
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Verify patient insurance information and collect co-pays or payments
- Maintain patient records and update information as necessary
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
- Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers or specialists
- Ensure a clean and organized reception area.
Skills:
This position requires a professional demeanor, as well as the ability to handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a medical setting, preferably in an emergency room (ER) environment.
