Dental Receptionist/ Front Desk / Patient Care Coordinator At our office we believe dentistry is about people first. We're looking for an energetic, organized, and compassionate Dental Receptionist who enjoys helping people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in keeping a busy dental office running smoothly. This is much more than answering phones—you're the first and last impression our patients have, and you play a vital role in creating an outstanding experience.
What You'll Do:
As the welcoming face of our practice, you'll: Greet patients warmly and make every visit feel comfortable and stress-free Answer incoming phone calls professionally and schedule appointments efficiently Confirm appointments and manage the daily schedule to minimize gaps while maximizing patient care Check patients in and out while maintaining accurate records Verify dental insurance benefits and explain coverage to patients Enter patient information accurately into Dentrix Ascend Collect co-payments, balances, and process payments Present treatment estimates and answer basic financial questions Coordinate with the clinical team to ensure smooth patient flow throughout the day Respond to emails, text messages, and patient inquiries promptly Maintain organized digital records and complete administrative tasks accurately Assist with recall and reactivation efforts to help patients stay on schedule with their dental care Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area Support teammates wherever needed to create a positive office culture The ideal candidate is someone who: Has experience using Dentrix Ascend (strongly preferred) Is comfortable learning new technology and dental software Has Dental Front Desk or Dental Reception experience (preferred) Has excellent multitasking and organizational skills Possesses basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office, email, web browsers, and cloud-based software) Communicates professionally with patients and teammates Has outstanding customer service skills Is dependable, punctual, and takes initiative Maintains attention to detail while working efficiently Can remain calm and positive during busy days Enjoys working as part of a supportive team Has a genuine passion for helping people Skills & Qualifications Dental office experience preferred (1+ year) Dentrix Ascend experience preferred (6+ months) Strong verbal and written communication Exceptional customer service Time management and organization Ability to prioritize multiple tasks Professional phone etiquette Insurance verification experience is a plus Scheduling and appointment coordination Basic computer proficiency High school Diploma or equivalent Positive attitude and willingness to learn Why Join our team?
