Dental Corner - Wichita, KS We are looking for a friendly, dependable, organized, and confident dental front-desk team member to join our busy dental practice. The front desk is the first impression our patients have of our office, so we are looking for someone who is professional, personable, able to communicate well, and comfortable handling multiple responsibilities throughout the day. What You'll Do Greet patients warmly and professionally Answer phones and assist patients with questions Schedule, confirm, reschedule, and coordinate appointments Maintain an organized and productive daily schedule Check patients in and out Verify dental insurance benefits and eligibility Review insurance information and help patients understand their estimated benefits Collect patient payments and accurately post payments Discuss treatment costs and financial arrangements with patients Assist with treatment plan presentation and scheduling Follow up with patients who have unscheduled treatment Work with insurance companies and assist with claim-related questions Maintain accurate patient information and records Enter and update information in Dentrix Scan, file, and organize patient documents Communicate effectively with doctors, assistants, hygienists, and other front-office staff Handle patient concerns professionally and calmly Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements Help keep the front office organized, professional, and welcoming Perform other front-office duties as needed The Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who: Has excellent customer service and communication skills Is comfortable talking with patients about money and insurance Is organized and pays close attention to detail Can multitask without becoming overwhelmed Is dependable and punctual Has a professional appearance and attitude Can handle difficult or upset patients calmly and respectfully Is comfortable working in a fast-paced dental office Takes initiative rather than waiting to be told what needs to be done Works well as part of a team Understands that patient care, scheduling, collections, and insurance are all important parts of the front-desk position Preferred Experience Dental front-office experience is preferred. Experience with Dentrix, dental insurance verification, treatment estimates, claims, and patient scheduling is a strong plus. We are willing to train the right person who has excellent customer service skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to learn quickly. What We Are Looking For This is not a position for someone who wants to simply answer phones and check patients in. The right person will be comfortable learning the dental side of the business, understanding insurance, discussing financial responsibilities with patients, keeping the schedule productive, and helping patients feel taken care of from the moment they call our office until they leave.
Pay:
$16.00 - $19.00 per hour Expected hours: 33.0 - 40.0 per week
