You'll handle scheduling, patient intake, insurance verification, busy phone lines, incoming referrals and electronic health records management—all while maintaining clinical confidentiality and providing a positive experience for every visitor. Duties Greet patients warmly and professionally, ensuring a positive first impression Manage appointment scheduling using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Modernizing Medicine (EMA) Verify insurance coverage and perform insurance eligibility checks for dermatology services Collect and process patient payments and medical collections accurately Review and update medical records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and confidentiality policies Answer multi-line phone systems with courteous phone etiquette, directing calls efficiently Assist with patient intake procedures, including documentation review and data entry into EMR/EHR systems Maintain filing systems for medical records and ensure proper documentation review processes are followed. Proven experience as a medical receptionist in a dermatology clinic setting is a PLUS. Strong knowledge of health insurance processes including verification, Medicare, Medicaid, Humana, Anthem, Cigna, etc. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Modernizing Medicine (EMA) is highly desirable Excellent computer skills. Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to handle patient inquiries professionally and empathetically Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations effectively Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and filing processes Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy office environment, while maintaining professionalism Join us to be part of a supportive team dedicated to delivering outstanding dermatological care!
