In this pivotal role, you will be the welcoming face of our practice, ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience from the moment they walk through the door. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help coordinate patient appointments, manage medical and dental records, verify insurance coverage, and facilitate seamless communication between patients and our clinical staff. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a positive healthcare environment while utilizing your strong administrative skills and dental terminology knowledge. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and professionally, creating a friendly atmosphere for all visitors Schedule appointments accurately using dental practice management software such as Open Dental Verify insurance coverage, ensuring proper documentation review Manage patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently, including intake forms and updating medical records Handle multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette, directing calls appropriately and taking detailed messages Maintain accurate medical and dental records in EMR Process payments, and assist with billing tasks. Confirm insurance benefits and perform insurance verification to facilitate smooth claims processing Support office management tasks such as filing, document review, and maintaining organized medical files Assist with clinic operations by providing exceptional patient service and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations Skills Experience with dental office management software such Open Dental Strong understanding of dental terminology, medical terminology, CPT coding, and HIPAA compliance standards Proven ability in insurance verification, collections, and documentation review processes Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel) and typing accuracy. Exceptional customer service skills with professional phone etiquette across multi-line phone systems Prior clinic or dental office experience is preferred; strong clerical experience in a healthcare setting is advantageous Ability to handle medical administrative support tasks confidently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment Join us in delivering outstanding patient care through energetic service and meticulous administrative support!
