Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Receptionist, where your energetic and organized approach will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors. In this vital role, you will manage front desk operations, coordinate appointments, and ensure smooth communication between patients and healthcare providers. Duties Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing excellent customer service with professional phone etiquette and a friendly demeanor Schedule patient appointments accurately using EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems DrChrono Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance verification, and handle medical billing processes including collection of payments and copays Manage medical records, ensuring proper filing, documentation review, and compliance with HIPAA regulations for health information management Assist with intake procedures, including collecting patient information and updating electronic health records (EHR systems) Coordinate with clinical staff to facilitate smooth clinic operations, including medical scheduling and care plan documentation Handle multi-line phone systems efficiently, respond to inquiries promptly, and direct calls appropriately while maintaining confidentiality Qualifications Preferred experience as a Medical Receptionist or in medical office management with clinic or dental office experience preferred. Some knowledge of EMR systems Understanding of HIPAA regulations and procedures for safeguarding patient information Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and typing accuracy (10 key typing) Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to review documentation thoroughly and manage multiple tasks efficiently Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations effectively Prior experience in front desk operations within a healthcare setting or dental clinic is highly desirable Strong communication skills with a focus on patient service excellence and professional office etiquette Join us in making a difference by providing top-tier administrative support in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Pay:
$24.14 - $26.00 per hour
